Troy Burne Golf Club
Troy Burne Golf Club is a course consistently ranked as one of the best public courses in America, presently sitting at #69 on Golf Digest’s Top 100 list. The facility is located in Hudson, Wisconsin, just a hop, skip and a jump across the border from Minnesota. For anyone headed toward the Twin Cities area or flying into Minneapolis-St Paul Airport to start a golf trip, Troy Burne Golf Club is a must play.
Accomplished PGA TOUR player Tom Lehman and the internationally recognized architectural firm of Hurdzan-Fry were brought together to create Troy Burne, opening in 1999. Most familiar with golf in the Midwest may think of Erin Hills in Wisconsin when reading Hurdzan-Fry, but Troy Burne has its own unique design. The bunkers are large, rounded and prevelant and there is a lot of water in play. It’s not exactly a target golf course, but it is one where strategy goes a long way. It is just a great golf course where you will probably be using every club in the bag.
For groups looking to play the best of the best for a Minnesota golf package, Troy Burne should absolutely be included on your itinerary. The best options would be to play Troy Burne on your arrival day before heading north, or to designate it as your last course, planning to staying in the airport/Mall of America area for your final night of the trip. Let MinnesotaGolfTrips.com show you the best way to include Troy Burne in your next golf itinerary!
