The Classic at Madden’s

Madden’s Golf Resort in Brainerd, Minnesota has it all. My first site visit to Madden’s absolutely blew me away. The story at Madden’s comes with a very unfortunate tale of Mother Nature getting involved. A few years ago, a large storm did severe damage to a large number of the lodging options at Madden’s. The damage was bad enough that it made way more sense to tear down and build from scratch. The result of this terribly negative situation is a huge positive…Madden’s has all the lodging options your group could ask for, and many are brand new.

Madden’s resort has a 45 holes of golf right on property. Pine Beach East, PIne Beach West, and their Social 9 are terrific for adding on some extra golf during your stay, but the real highlight at Madden’s is The Classic. The Classic at Madden’s is ranked #34 in Golf Digest’s Top 100 U.S. Public Golf Courses list, and I am here to say the ranking is well deserved. The fun starts right off the bat with a 1st hole par-5 that leaves you breathless. A simple tee shot leads to a severely sloped fairway around the corner, and then you are hitting to a super elevated green on your approach. Awesome. The rest of the course gives you a number of other signature holes that will stay with you long after you have hit your final putt. The Classic is not to be missed.
